2 Hair Styling Products That I Swear by
Today I am going to share my two absolute favourite products that make a big difference when it comes to top-level bridal hair. Whether you are an experienced specialist in the bridal niche or just stepping into the industry, I promise you will like them both.
I’ve been working as a full-time wedding hairstylist for over a decade and teaching wedding hair classes since 2019. For all these years, I am constantly looking for products, tools and techniques that will enable me to work faster and more efficiently and generally make life easier.
When limited with time, it can be tempting to skip the prep, however, it’s never a good idea. Yet, you can certainly try to do it as quickly as possible.
The Schwarzkopf Professional OSiS+ Soft Dust Volumising Powder is one of the products I use when creating virtually any hairstyle. The pump package makes it so easy to use and saves me those precious minutes of the wedding morning.
Apart from that, I love pretty much everything about it: the hold, the smell, and even the value for money ratio.
Spray a little bit in the root area before backcombing or add on the length before putting hair up in a bun. It makes the strands more manageable and helps to keep everything in place.
The other hero is Frizz Ease Secret Agent Touch-Up Crème by John Frieda. While most of the wedding hairstylists’ world is still not over the fact that Tame Wild cream was discontinued, it’s time to move on and find alternatives.
For those who have no idea what I am talking about, let’s delve into why we actually need cream for styling hair. There are hundreds and hundreds of different hair products, some of which seem completely useless, while others are absolute game-changing gems. In short words, when you are creating volume, you need something, that will make hair rougher and slightly drier, and this is where you can use a hair powder. On the other hand, when it comes to finishing touches, we are looking for that silky, smooth finish. Think of a ‘messy bun’ which looks very relaxed and effortless, yet it is not actually messy at all, and it’s more of controlled ‘chaos’. This can be achieved by applying some Frizz Ease on the top strand to tame those unwanted flyaways and sticking out baby hairs.
This John Frieda’s product delivers – it’s not too runny or too sticky and does the job perfectly.
If you haven’t tried those two heroes yet, give them a go and let me know what you think. Also, if you are looking to perfect your bridal hair styling skills, please feel free to enquire about my classes.
